ANGLE OF REPOSE

The angle of repose of a powder is the characteristic angle of the pile obtained by mechanically pouring the powder from a funnel. It is a direct indication of the potential flowability of a powder.

CARNEY/HALL CONE FLOWABILITY

The Hall/Carney funnel flowmeter is used to determine the apparent density of a free-flowing powder. A volume of powder is allowed to flow through the Hall or Carney cone into a cup of defined volume. The mass of powder per unit volume is determined and reported as bulk density.
Norme ASTM B417, B964, B212, B213

TAMPED / TAPPED DENSITY

Densitap is an instrument for measuring the tapped density of powders by expelling the air between the grains of powder so that the particles agglomerate and organize themselves. The TAPPED density is then obtained by mechanically tapping a measuring cylinder containing a sample powder.
Normes ASTM B527

FLOWDEX

The flowdex is used to evaluate the flow capacity of a powder. This method is based on the ability of the powder to fall freely through a hole in a plate. The diameter of the smallest hole through which the powder passes three times in a row constitutes the flowability index.

REVOLUTION

The Révolution powder analyzer is used to determine the behavior of powders in the process by measuring the interactions of different factors (grain size, density, humidity, chemical composition) in a simulated environment. It is used to evaluate the capacity of a powder to flow, to compact, to granulate by measuring different characteristic data (avalanche angle, fractality, fracture energy, etc.)
