The Hall/Carney funnel flowmeter is used to determine the apparent density of a free-flowing powder. A volume of powder is allowed to flow through the Hall or Carney cone into a cup of defined volume. The mass of powder per unit volume is determined and reported as bulk density. | |

Densitap is an instrument for measuring the tapped density of powders by expelling the air between the grains of powder so that the particles agglomerate and organize themselves. The TAPPED density is then obtained by mechanically tapping a measuring cylinder containing a sample powder. | |
